Vermillion, SD native Aaron Packard began his fascination with photography at a young age. He learned to process and print his own images at the age of twelve. It wasn't until Aaron was in his early twenties, after serving in the US Navy, when he decided he would make photography his career. Aaron then returned to South Dakota and attended The University of South Dakota.
Soon, Aaron found himself in San Francisco, CA. He worked as a photographer's assistant and continued to shoot his own work for a number of years before breaking out on his own as a freelance photographer. Aaron returned to South Dakota in 2002 and now runs his business out of Vermillion. While based in Vermillion, Aaron travels on a constant basis for numerous editorial, corporate, and commercial clients.
